MyCFAVisit – Chick-fil-A Survey at mycfavisit.com for a Free Sandwich

By the Survey Guide editorial team · Last reviewed September 11, 2026 against Chick-fil-A’s receipt survey FAQ · Independent guide, not affiliated with Chick-fil-A

The Chick-fil-A Customer Experience Survey lives at www.mycfavisit.com. You type the 22-digit serial number from the bottom of your receipt, answer about five minutes of questions, and Chick-fil-A emails you a QR code for one free Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich within 24 hours. Two things trip people up: the survey has to be taken within 2 days of the visit, and not every receipt carries the invitation.

Both buttons go to Chick-fil-A’s own pages (the survey is hosted for them by SMG). Surveyguide.us is an independent guide.

Chick-fil-A customer experience survey quick facts

The Chick-fil-A Customer Experience Survey is a short online feedback survey about one restaurant visit, taken at www.mycfavisit.com with the serial number from your receipt, that pays a free Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich by email. Most people call it the Chick-fil-A survey, the receipt survey or just MyCFAVisit, after the web address. Everything in this table comes from Chick-fil-A’s own receipt survey FAQ at chick-fil-a.com, checked on September 11, 2026.

Is your receipt still inside the 2-day window?

You have 2 days from the visit date on the receipt, and that’s the number one reason mycfavisit.com rejects a serial number. Type the date and time from the receipt and this tells you how long you have left.

Where is the serial number on a Chick-fil-A receipt?

The serial number is printed near the bottom of the receipt, inside the dashed survey box, on the line that starts “Serial Num:” right under www.mycfavisit.com. It’s 22 digits in five groups separated by dashes, and the survey page has five boxes that match those groups exactly.

A Chick-fil-A dine-in receipt with a survey invitation. The red box is the part you need, and the note above it spells out the 2-day limit and the Original or Spicy sandwich.

The invitation itself is a short paragraph between two dashed lines: “We’d like to offer you a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich (Original or Spicy) as a thank you for completing our new shorter survey within 2 days of your visit.” Below the serial number it warns that your email will be required at the end. If your receipt has no dashed box like this, it has no survey.

The mycfavisit.com serial number entry form with five dash-separated boxes and the red Start button
The five boxes on mycfavisit.com. Type each dash-separated group of the receipt serial number into its own box.

The groups run 7 digits, 5 digits, 4 digits, 4 digits and 2 digits. Take the sample receipt above, 1040104-03154-0811-0413-81, printed at 8:11 am on 4/13. The second group, 03154, is the 5-digit restaurant number. The third group, 0811, is the time of the order, and the fourth, 0413, is the date. So if one digit is smudged, you can usually work it out from the time and date printed at the top of the same receipt.

Not every Chick-fil-A receipt has the dashed box. Chick-fil-A says so plainly in its FAQ (“Not every receipt includes an invitation to take the survey”), and Chick-fil-A doesn’t say what share of receipts get it. A former team member interviewed by the Daily Dot said she collected about five survey receipts a day from customers who left them behind, which gives you a rough idea of how common they are at a busy counter. If the bottom of your receipt just has the store address and “Thank you”, there’s no survey on it and no way to look one up.

There’s also no “Chick-fil-A survey without serial number” option. The FAQ answer is one sentence: the serial number or Survey ID code is required. If the code is unreadable, Chick-fil-A’s suggestion is to give your feedback to the restaurant’s Operator directly or call 1-866-232-2040.

How to take the MyCFAVisit survey step by step

Go to www.mycfavisit.com, type the serial number from the bottom of your receipt, answer the questions, and enter your email on the last screen. The free sandwich offer arrives by email within 24 hours. The whole thing is online and takes about five minutes on a phone.

Before you start, you need

  • A Chick-fil-A receipt that shows a survey invitation and a serial number at the bottom (not every receipt has one)
  • A visit date within the last 2 days
  • An email address you can check, typed correctly, because Chick-fil-A can’t re-send the offer to a different address

The short version

  1. Open www.mycfavisit.com in any browser.
  2. Type the 22-digit serial number into the five boxes and press Start.
  3. Rate the visit on the short satisfaction screens.
  4. Enter your email address on the last screen and submit.
  5. Watch your inbox (and Promotions or Spam) for the free sandwich QR code within 24 hours.

Each step in detail, with what the real page looks like:

1 Open www.mycfavisit.com within 2 days of your visit

Type mycfavisit.com straight into the browser. Don’t Google it first; the top results are often copycat sites (mycfavisit.one, mycfavisit.casa and so on) that copy the red header and add ads or a fake “login”. The real page has the Chick-fil-A logo at the top left, “Customer Experience Survey” in red at the top right, and an SMG copyright line in the red footer.

2 Type the serial number into the five boxes and press Start

What www.mycfavisit.com looks like right now. The note under the Start button is the important one: the sandwich code is emailed within 24 hours.

The page says “Please enter the serial number that is printed on your receipt.” Type each group into its own box, then press the red Start button. If the serial number is rejected here, jump to the not working section.

Spanish speakers can click Español at the bottom right first. It’s the same survey and the same sandwich; searches for “www mycfavisit com espanol” all end up at this one link.

3 Rate the visit

The survey is a series of short screens, mostly 5-point satisfaction scales, about the food, the speed, the order accuracy, the cleanliness and the team members. Details in the questions section. Answer honestly; your scores go to the restaurant’s Operator and have nothing to do with whether you get the sandwich.

4 Enter your email address at the end

The last screen asks for your email. This is where the free sandwich offer goes, and Chick-fil-A’s FAQ is blunt about typos: “we are not able to provide a replacement QR code if you entered the wrong email address.” Read it back before you submit. Using the same email as your Chick-fil-A One account is smart, because the offer then shows up in the app too.

5 Check your inbox within 24 hours

There’s no validation code on the thank-you screen. The reward comes only by email, usually far faster than 24 hours (a former team member interviewed by the Daily Dot said hers arrived in about ten minutes). Look in spam and promotions if it’s not in the inbox. The next section covers what to do if it never comes.

What questions does the Chick-fil-A survey ask?

The MyCFAVisit survey asks a short set of questions about one visit, nearly all on a five-point satisfaction scale, plus one or two text boxes. Chick-fil-A doesn’t publish a question count; people on Reddit describe it as 15 to 20 screens and about five minutes. There are no trick questions and no wrong answers. This is the usual set, in the order SMG’s Chick-fil-A survey presents it.

  • Overall satisfaction with the visit, and how likely you are to recommend this Chick-fil-A.
  • Whether you dined in, used the drive-thru, ordered through the app, or had it delivered.
  • Taste and temperature of the food, and whether the order was accurate.
  • Speed of service. There’s usually a follow-up asking how long you waited, in ranges.
  • Team members. Were they friendly and attentive, did anyone check on you (dine-in only).
  • Cleanliness of the dining room, restrooms and the outside of the restaurant.
  • A problem question. If you say something went wrong, you get a text box and a question about whether it was resolved.
  • An open comment box for anything else.
  • Optional demographics (age range, household) and then the email address screen.

Chick-fil-A’s FAQ explains the two-day limit as being there so “restaurant Operators receive the timeliest information.” That’s also why the survey is short: the point is the Operator seeing your Tuesday lunch feedback by Thursday.

Is there a MyCFAVisit login? No, and CFA Home is something else

There is no MyCFAVisit login. The survey doesn’t have accounts, passwords or a sign-in page; the 22-digit serial number is the only thing it asks for before the questions start. Any page that offers a “mycfavisit survey login” with a username and password isn’t the real survey.

The confusion comes from two other Chick-fil-A sites that share the autocomplete list. CFA Home (cfahome.com, with an Okta sign-in, hence “cfaokta”) is the employee and Operator portal for schedules, pay and training. Customers can’t use it and don’t need it. Chick-fil-A One is the customer rewards account inside the app and at chick-fil-a.com; you’ll need that to see your free sandwich in the app, but you don’t need it to take the survey.

The MyCFAVisit validation code, what arrives and when

After the survey, Chick-fil-A emails a digital offer for one free Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, with a QR code, to the address you typed, within 24 hours. That email is the “validation code” people search for. Nothing appears on screen at the end of the survey, and there’s no code to write on the receipt.

The email contains the QR code, the expiration date, and a note that the offer has been added to your Chick-fil-A One account if the email matches one. If you don’t have an account, the QR code in the email still works on its own at the register.

Sandwich email not here yet?

The Reddit threads about the “mycfavisit survey validation code” mostly end the same way: the email was in Promotions or Spam. Gmail in particular often files SMG’s survey emails under Promotions. If 24 hours have passed and it’s in neither place, Chick-fil-A’s FAQ says to contact CARES at chick-fil-a.com/contact-cares (choose “Receipt survey”) or call 1-866-232-2040. They can re-send an offer to the same address; they can’t send one to a different address.

How to redeem the free Chick-fil-A sandwich from the survey

Show the QR code from the email (or from the Rewards section of the Chick-fil-A app) at the counter or drive-thru, order an Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the team member scans it. That’s the whole process. Three rules from Chick-fil-A’s FAQ are worth knowing before you go.

The offer isn’t tied to the restaurant you visited; it’s a digital offer on your email or account, not a coupon for one store. But it is a Chick-fil-A digital offer, so licensed locations inside airports, hospitals and universities may not take it. Ask before you order.

MyCFAVisit survey rules and limits in plain English

The rules are short: take the survey within 2 days, one survey per receipt, one Original or Spicy sandwich per survey, no substitutions, and the offer goes only to the email you typed. Chick-fil-A doesn’t publish a long rules page the way retailers do for sweepstakes; everything below is stated in its receipt survey FAQ or on the survey page itself.

  • Two days. “The survey must be taken within 2 days” of the visit date on the receipt. After that the serial number stops working and can’t be reactivated.
  • Serial number required. No serial number, no survey. There’s no lookup by order number or card.
  • One survey per receipt. A serial number works once.
  • Not every receipt qualifies. Invitations are printed on some receipts, not all, and the app sometimes shows one under “For You” instead.
  • Email is final. The offer goes to the address you type. Wrong address, no replacement.
  • Reward is fixed. One Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, no substitutions, no cash value, expiry as printed in the email.
  • Participating restaurants. Standard Chick-fil-A restaurants take it. Licensed locations (airports, campuses) may not.

Two things I couldn’t confirm from an official source: whether there’s a minimum age (the survey page doesn’t state one), and whether SMG caps how many surveys one email address can do per month. Copycat guides claim “one per person per 30 days”; I couldn’t find that anywhere on chick-fil-a.com, so treat it as unverified.

Chick-fil-A survey in the app vs the receipt survey

Both exist, both pay the same sandwich, and they’re the same survey underneath. The difference is how you’re invited.

FeatureReceipt survey (mycfavisit.com)Survey in the Chick-fil-A app
How you’re invitedSerial number printed at the bottom of a paper receiptA card under the “For You” tab after an app or scanned order, when offered

Time limit2 days from the visitShown on the card in the app
RewardFree Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich by emailSame sandwich, added straight to your Chick-fil-A One rewards
Needs an accountNoYes, Chick-fil-A One

If you ordered through the app, you won’t get a paper receipt with a serial number, so the “For You” tab is the only route. If you paid at the counter and scanned your app for points, you can get both a paper receipt with an invitation and, occasionally, an app invitation for the same visit. Chick-fil-A’s FAQ lists the app survey as one of the official ways to get free food, so it’s not a loophole.

One.chick-fil-a.com/forgot2scan is for missed points, not the survey

Forgot2scan is Chick-fil-A’s missed transaction form, and it has nothing to do with the free sandwich survey. It shows up in the same searches because the URL is printed on the same receipts. If you paid without scanning your Chick-fil-A One app, you use it to claim the points you missed.

The process, from Chick-fil-A’s missed transactions FAQ: sign in to your Chick-fil-A One account, go to Account, then Transactions, then “Submit missed transaction”, and enter the restaurant number, the date, the order number and the order total from the receipt. You have 30 days from the purchase. Points are awarded on the pre-tax total at your current tier, and there’s a lifetime cap on how many requests one account can make. The form lives at chick-fil-a.com/forgottoscan, and the one.chick-fil-a.com/forgot2scan address printed on older receipts leads to the same place.

The error “the promotion you picked couldn’t be applied to your order” is an app checkout problem, not a survey one. It usually means the reward you selected (including a survey sandwich) has expired, is for a different item than what’s in the cart, or the restaurant you picked doesn’t accept it. Remove the reward, check its expiry under Rewards, and try again with a plain Original or Spicy sandwich in the cart.

Is Chick-fil-A giving away free food today? The survey vs the other free sandwich offers

On most days, no. The survey sandwich is the only free Chick-fil-A item you can get on demand, any day, with nothing but a receipt. The searches for “free Chick-fil-A today” and “Chick-fil-A free sandwich Wednesday” come from a handful of other promotions that are real but limited.

  • Market giveaways in the app. Groups of restaurants in one area (Southern California does this several times a year) push a free Original Chicken Sandwich to Chick-fil-A One members in the app, usually claim-by-midnight. You only see it if the app is installed and your home restaurant is in that market.
  • Local Operator offers. Individual restaurants run their own promotions through the app, from free breakfast sandwiches to “Receipt Day”, where you bring back a receipt from a set date range and the Operator remakes that order free, usually up to a cap. Dates differ by restaurant and there’s no national schedule.
  • Chick-fil-A One rewards. Points on every scanned purchase, redeemable for food, including the Chicken Sandwich. This is where most of the “free stuff” and freebies people post about come from.
  • Grand openings. New restaurants still do local giveaways, though the old “First 100” free-meals-for-a-year campout was retired a few years ago.

“Is Chick-fil-A free tomorrow?” has the same answer as today: only if your app shows an offer. The one recent date people keep searching, October 8, 2025, was a Canada-only giveaway in Ontario and Alberta (one free sandwich per person, noon to 8 pm, no receipt needed), not a US event and not a survey.

What’s not real: “Chick-fil-A free meal for 2 coupon” posts on Facebook, “free Chick-fil-A promo code” generators, and any survey page that offers a $100 gift card instead of a sandwich. Chick-fil-A’s own FAQ answer to “Does Chick-fil-A offer discounts or promo codes?” is that it doesn’t. The survey sandwich and app rewards are the whole list.

MyCFAVisit Canada uses the same survey and a different help line

Chick-fil-A Canada runs the same receipt survey with the same free sandwich offer, and its FAQ doesn’t name a separate Canadian survey site. The Canadian FAQ at chick-fil-a.ca covers the same seven questions (where to find it, expired codes, wrong email, substitutions) with one difference: the Canadian help line is 1-866-232-4020, not the US 2040 number. Searches for “mycfavisit canada ca” or “mycfavisit.ca” are looking for a separate site that doesn’t exist.

MyCFAVisit not working? The five errors and their fixes

Nearly every “mycfavisit not working” complaint on Reddit is one of the five rows below, and the fix is in the last column. Details follow the table.

ProblemUsual causeFix
Serial number rejectedVisit was more than 2 days ago, or a digit is mistypedCheck the 5-digit store number against the top of the receipt. If the visit is over 2 days old, the code is dead; keep the next receipt
“Survey already completed”Each serial number works once; someone at the table used itNothing to do on that receipt. Each person needs their own receipt
No serial number on the receiptNot every receipt carries an invitation; app orders never print oneLook in the app under “For You” instead, or wait for a receipt that has it
Sandwich email never arrivedPromotions/Spam folder, full inbox, or a typo in the addressSearch mail for “Chick-fil-A”. After 24 hours, contact CARES with the receipt details; a wrong email can’t be fixed
Page blank or won’t loadAd blocker, in-app browser, or SMG maintenanceOpen in Safari or Chrome directly, private window, or try mobile data. Come back in an hour
The serial number isn’t accepted

Count the digits first: 7, 5, 4, 4, 2. A receipt printed on a low ribbon can turn an 8 into a 3 or a 0 into an 8. The third and fourth groups are the order time and date (0811 and 0413 on the sample receipt for 8:11 am on 4/13), both printed at the top of the same receipt, so those are the groups you can verify. If the receipt date is more than two days back, no amount of retyping helps; Chick-fil-A says expired codes can’t be reactivated.

Is mycfavisit down right now?

SMG hosts hundreds of restaurant surveys on the same platform, and short outages happen a few times a year, usually overnight US time. There’s no status page. If the real site (Chick-fil-A logo, SMG footer) shows an error or a blank card, wait an hour and retry; the two-day window is measured in days, not hours, so you don’t lose the receipt over a short outage.

I finished the survey but got no code on screen

That’s normal. The receipt survey never shows a code on screen; the thank-you page just tells you to watch your email. The “validation code” for this survey is the QR code in the email. If you were expecting to write something on the receipt like at Burger King or Taco Bell, that’s a different system.

The QR code won’t scan at the restaurant

Turn the screen brightness up and zoom the email so the code fills the screen. If it still fails, the offer may have expired (the team member can check by scanning) or the location may be a licensed one that doesn’t take digital offers. Adding the offer to your Chick-fil-A One account and redeeming through the app’s Rewards tab avoids the scanner entirely.

Chick-fil-A survey customer service

For anything about the survey or the missing sandwich email, Chick-fil-A CARES is the right team, not the restaurant. Call 1-866-232-2040 (Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 10 pm Eastern) or use the form at chick-fil-a.com/contact-cares and pick “Receipt survey” under account issues. Have the restaurant number, the visit date and the email address you used ready; they’ll ask for all three.

The same CARES team handles complaints, catering feedback and “leave a review” requests that have nothing to do with the survey. The survey is only for rating one visit; if you want a complaint acted on, the contact form is faster and gets a reply.

SMG, which hosts the survey, doesn’t take customer calls about Chick-fil-A rewards; its footer links are only terms and privacy. And the restaurant itself can’t look up your submission, though the Operator does get your scores and comments within days.

If you’re working through a stack of receipts, we’ve covered the other big ones on Survey Guide: the Burger King MyBKExperience survey (free Whopper), the Taco Bell TellTheBell survey, the Walmart survey ($1,000 gift card drawing), the Lowe’s survey and the Kroger feedback survey (fuel points).

People also ask about the Chick-fil-A survey

These come from Google’s “People also ask” box, Reddit and Quora, and they’re the ones the sections above don’t already answer in full.

How long does the MyCFAVisit survey take?

About five minutes. It’s a short run of satisfaction screens (people on Reddit count 15 to 20), and you can do it on a phone. The 2-day window is about when you start, not how fast you finish.

Can I use the free sandwich for a meal or a breakfast sandwich?

No. The offer is only good for one Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich or one Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and Chick-fil-A’s system doesn’t allow substitutions. Some restaurants will let you pay the difference to make it a meal; that’s up to the Operator.

Does the free sandwich work at any Chick-fil-A?

At standard restaurants, yes; it’s a digital offer, not a store-specific coupon. Licensed locations inside airports, stadiums, hospitals and universities often can’t accept app rewards or digital offers, so ask before ordering there.

Do I need a Chick-fil-A One account to get the sandwich?

No. The QR code in the email works at the register on its own. If your survey email matches a Chick-fil-A One account, the offer also appears under Rewards in the app, which is handier for drive-thru.

Is mycfavisit.com legit?

Yes. It’s the address printed on Chick-fil-A receipts and named in Chick-fil-A’s own FAQ as “the My CFA Visit page”, hosted by SMG. Sites with extra words in the domain (mycfavisit.one, mycfavisit-survey.com and similar) are not it, and common misspellings like myfavisit.com, mycfavist.com or mcfavisit.com are either dead or parked with ads.

Is mychickfilavisit.com the same site?

No. “Mychickfilavisit” is how people search when they can’t remember the short version, but the survey address is mycfavisit.com. Any mychickfilavisit site you land on is a third-party page.

Can I take the survey twice with the same receipt?

No. Each serial number works once. A second attempt gets the “already completed” message. Separate receipts from the same order count separately, which is why the split-the-check trick works.

How do I get a survey on my receipt more often?

You can’t control it. Chick-fil-A prints the invitation on a share of receipts chosen by the system. Paying at the counter and asking for a printed receipt gives you the chance; app orders don’t print one, though the app may offer its own survey under “For You”.

Why does the Chick-fil-A survey ask for my email?

Only to send the sandwich offer. The survey page says the email is required “so the offer code may be sent to you.” The feedback itself is tied to the receipt serial number, not to you.
