The McAlister’s Deli guest review survey, the receipt-code questionnaire that used to live at talktomcalisters.com, no longer runs. The address now redirects to a Medallia page saying the survey is not supported there any more. To send feedback about a McAlister’s visit today you use the Contact Us form on mcalistersdeli.com or call Guest Relations on 888-330-4313. The free cookie the survey once handed out now comes from McAlister’s Rewards instead, at 1,000 points. I checked all of this on 10 September 2026.
Below: the two channels that still work, the six-option dropdown they run through, what replaced the free cookie, and why your receipt may still print a dead link.
Is the McAlister’s guest review survey still running?
No. The McAlister’s Deli guest review survey was retired, and both of its old web addresses are gone. Here is what each one does when you open it today.
| Old address | What loads on 10 September 2026 | Can you still get a coupon? |
|---|---|---|
| talktomcalisters.com | Redirects to survey3.medallia.com and prints: “Unfortunately, our survey is no longer supported on this webpage.” | No |
| tellmcalisters.com | Browser error page. Nothing is responding on the domain. | No |
| mcalistersdeli.com/contact-us | A working Medallia feedback form with a six-option topic dropdown. | No coupon, but the message reaches Guest Relations |

One question is all that survives on that page: “Are you a McAlister’s Deli loyalty member?” Yes or No, then a Finish button. There is no receipt field, no store number box and no validation code at the end.
McAlister’s confirms the change in its own words. Under “How can I share my feedback regarding my recent experience at McAlister’s?”, McAlister’s own FAQ page answers: “Please visit our Contact Us page to provide your feedback.” No survey, no code, no cookie.
I cannot tell you the exact month it was switched off. My best guess is somewhere across 2024 and 2025, when the brand’s feedback stack moved to Medallia, but there is no dated announcement and I am not going to invent one.
Where to send McAlister’s Deli feedback now
Feedback goes to one of two places: the form on McAlister’s Contact Us page, or the Guest Relations phone line. Nothing else the brand runs accepts guest comments.

| Channel | Details | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Contact Us form | mcalistersdeli.com/contact-us, served by Medallia, English only | Anything that is not urgent, and anything that happened at the weekend |
| Guest Relations phone | 888-330-4313, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm EST | Money problems you need fixed the same day |
| Postal address | 5620 Glenridge Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30342, printed on the contact page and listed as the McAlister’s headquarters | Written complaints |
| Not published by McAlister’s | Nothing. Any address on a third-party page was guessed |

How to send McAlister’s feedback, step by step
The whole thing takes about three minutes. There is no code to enter and no reward at the end, so what matters is giving the restaurant enough detail to act on.
- Open mcalistersdeli.com and click Contact Us in the footer. The link opens survey3.medallia.com, which is McAlister’s own feedback platform and not a third-party site.
- Pick a topic from the “What would you like to contact us about?” dropdown. This is the only question on the first screen, and it decides who reads your message. The six options are listed below.
- Click Next. The form then works through its follow-up questions one page at a time.
- Name the restaurant the way it appears on your receipt. There are more than 550 McAlister’s locations, so “the one near the mall” routes nowhere.
- Give the date, the rough time, and the order number if you still have the receipt.
- Keep the comment under about 150 words and say what you want: a fix, an apology, a refund, or simply for someone to know. Add an email address if you want a reply.

What you need before you start
Very little, and none of it is a code.
- The restaurant name or address, as printed on the receipt
- The date and rough time of the visit
- The order number, if you still have the receipt
- An email address, if you want a reply
- Nothing else. No purchase, no receipt code, no account
Who can use the feedback form
Anyone. The retired survey carried the usual prize conditions, described at the time as 18 or older, US resident, one entry per receipt. The Contact Us form drops all of it, because no prize is attached any more. No purchase, no account, no age check. Employees get their own dropdown option rather than being shut out.
The six topics in the dropdown
Picking the right one decides who reads your message.
| Dropdown option | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Praise / Compliment | A server or a manager did something worth naming. Name them. This is the one that reaches a general manager fastest. |
| Order or Restaurant Experience Complaint | Cold spud, missing side, 40-minute wait, dirty table. |
| Technical Issue (Web, Mobile, Rewards, Promotions, Gift Cards) | Points missing after a purchase, an offer that will not apply, a gift card that reads as empty. |
| General Inquiry / Suggestion | Menu questions, allergen questions, “please open one in my town”. |
| I am an Employee | Staff-side issues, routed away from guest feedback. |
| Unsubscribe from Emails | Marketing removal. |
One small oddity, since I spent a while on this page. Before you answer a single question the browser tab already reads “Survey 42% complete.” It is a leftover from the survey template the form was built on, and it made me laugh more than it should have.
What you get now that the free cookie is gone
Feedback earns nothing. Free food at McAlister’s now comes only from McAlister’s Rewards, where a dessert sits in the 1,000-point tier and you earn 10 points per $1 spent. Do the division: a cookie costs about $100 of spending.

| Points | What you can pick | Roughly what you spent |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | A beverage, or a kid’s meal | $50 |
| 1,000 | A side, a cup of soup, or a dessert | $100 |
| 1,500 | An entrée: sandwich, salad, giant spud, Choose 2, starter or a bowl of soup | $150 |
Those tiers come straight from the McAlister’s Rewards page.
How to earn points
Three ways, and one of them still uses your receipt. In the restaurant, tap Scan in the app and scan the QR code at the register, or give the phone number tied to your account. If you forgot both, you can scan the barcode at the bottom of the receipt within 7 days of the purchase and the points still land. Order online while signed in and they post on their own. Allow 24 to 48 hours for points to appear.
You earn on food and drink only. McAlister’s excludes catering orders, gift cards and alcoholic beverages, although paying with a gift card does earn points on the food you buy with it.

How to redeem a reward
In the restaurant, show the reward code from the app to the cashier. Online or in the app, add the item to your basket first, then apply the reward from the “McAlister’s Rewards” or “My Offers” section in the cart. The reward will not appear if the matching item is not already in the basket, which is where most people get stuck.
Four faster ways to free food than saving points
A dessert costs $100 of spending. These four do not.
- A free tea for joining. McAlister’s gives one to every new Rewards member. It is the fastest free thing on this page and it costs nothing.
- Birthday treat. Members get one each year. If your birthday is inside the next month, this beats chasing points.
- Referral tea. The referral code in the app gives a free tea to whoever you send it to, and a free tea back to you, once they sign up and finish a first purchase.
- Free Tea Day. McAlister’s has run one in July in past years, usually a single day with no purchase needed, announced on the brand’s social accounts a week or two ahead. The date moves, so there is nothing to put in a calendar in advance.
Rules and restrictions that catch people out
Four of them do most of the damage.
- Points expire after 365 days of account inactivity. One purchase resets the clock.
- Only one reward comes off any single order.
- A reward will not stack with another offer, and it does not work with third-party delivery like DoorDash or Uber Eats.
- Ordering in the app or online adds a service fee, which quietly eats into what the reward saved you.
The Tea Pass sits alongside all of this rather than inside it. It is a paid subscription covering one eligible beverage a day, bought in the What’s New or Beverage category online or in the app at participating locations, with its own cancellation and refund terms. You have to be a McAlister’s Rewards member to buy one, so it is a separate product but not a separate account.
The old survey code and validation code, explained
Two different codes were involved, and people still mix them up.

Where the survey code was printed on the receipt
In the bottom third, under the totals, next to the store’s 4-digit restaurant number and the survey web address. You typed that number in first, then the date, the time and whether you dined in or ordered to go. Then came the ratings: food, staff, speed, order accuracy, cleanliness.
What the validation code was
A short code the survey printed on its last screen once you finished. You wrote it on the receipt and handed the receipt over on your next visit. Guides written while the survey was live describe it as five characters, shaped like 1727W, with a free cookie as the usual reward and $2 off at some locations, the entry good for about 7 days and the coupon for about 30.
Those last numbers carry a warning. Nothing about the retired survey survives on McAlister’s own pages, so I could not check them against a primary source. Treat that paragraph as a record of what the survey used to do, not as a rule you can hold anyone to.
Survey code, validation code and referral code are three different things
| Code | Where it came from | Status today |
|---|---|---|
| Survey code / restaurant number | Printed on the receipt before you started | Still printed on some receipts, but no longer opens anything |
| Validation code | Given by the survey after you finished, redeemed in-store | No longer issued |
| Referral code | Inside the McAlister’s app, shared with a friend | Live. Earns a free tea for both of you |
Survey code not working? What is actually going on
In almost every case the code is fine and the survey is gone. This table covers what people report.
| What you see | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| talktomcalisters.com says the survey is no longer supported | The survey was retired; the domain now points at a Medallia stub | Use mcalistersdeli.com/contact-us instead |
| tellmcalisters.com will not load at all | The domain no longer resolves | Same. Use the Contact Us page |
| Your receipt still shows a survey invitation | Receipt footers are set per restaurant and get updated on their own schedule | Ignore that line. The barcode lower down still works though: scan it in the app within 7 days and the points land |
| “Survey 42% complete” before you have typed anything | The contact form runs on the same Medallia survey engine and inherits its progress bar | Nothing. Carry on filling it in |
| Points missing after a purchase | The account was not scanned, or the points have not posted yet | Give it 24 to 48 hours. Still missing, scan the receipt barcode within 7 days of the visit, then use “Technical Issue” on the contact form |
| A reward will not apply at checkout | The matching item is not in the basket yet | Add the item first, then apply the reward from My Offers |
Two limits worth stating. I do not have a McAlister’s receipt printed this week to hold up, so I cannot tell you what your local store’s printer is doing tonight. And I read the first screen of the contact form and stopped there rather than pushing a made-up complaint into a real restaurant’s queue, so the later screens are described by what the form asks for rather than field by field.
Is the McAlister’s survey legitimate, or a scam?
The official survey was always legitimate while it ran, and it never asked for money. What you have to watch now are the copycat pages that still rank for it.
A real restaurant survey asks about your meal. It does not ask for your card number, your bank details, your date of birth, or a payment to “release” a prize. If a page asks for any of those, close it. The only feedback route McAlister’s operates starts on mcalistersdeli.com.
Two claims in these search results are worth naming. Several pages promise a $100 gift card sweepstakes, and none of them link to rules, an entry period or a sponsor address, all of which a real US sweepstakes has to publish. Others still credit InMoment as the survey provider, when both live McAlister’s forms are served from survey3.medallia.com and carry a Medallia footer.
The reason is dull rather than sinister. Survey blogs copy each other, a page written in 2019 gets reworded in 2021 and again in 2023 with a fresh year in the title, and nobody along the chain opens the link to check. A guide that has never been checked against the live site is a copy of a copy.
Other McAlister’s brands whose survey URLs also went dark
McAlister’s is not alone. I opened the vanity survey domains for three sibling brands under GoTo Foods on the same afternoon, 10 September 2026, and none of them opened a survey either.
| Brand | Old survey address | What loads today |
|---|---|---|
| McAlister’s Deli | talktomcalisters.com | Medallia page: “no longer supported on this webpage” |
| McAlister’s Deli | tellmcalisters.com | Browser error, nothing responding |
| Moe’s Southwest Grill | moetalks.com | Browser error, nothing responding |
| Schlotzsky’s | talktoschlotzskys.com | Browser error, nothing responding |
| Cinnabon | cinnabonfeedback.com | Parked on GoDaddy Corporate Domains, no survey |
One caveat before anyone quotes this. A dead vanity domain proves the old address stopped working. It does not prove a brand has no survey anywhere, since a chain can move one to a new URL without telling anybody. What it shows is a group-wide pattern: GoTo Foods appears to have retired the receipt-code model across its brands and pushed everyone toward apps and contact forms.
Receipt surveys are still alive elsewhere, which is the useful comparison. If you want one that still pays out, see how the Kroger feedback survey pays out in fuel points, or the MyBKExperience survey and its free Whopper code. Each is covered here in its own guide, with its own last-checked date.
What to write so your feedback gets acted on
A McAlister’s complaint that gets acted on looks different from one that gets filed. The old survey did the structuring for you: radio buttons, a 1-to-5 scale, a comment box at the end. The Contact Us form hands you a blank space instead, and a blank space is where most complaints go to die.
A Guest Relations coordinator reading forty of these before lunch will act on the one that says “order 4412, 7:40pm Friday, the spud came out cold twice” faster than the one that opens with three paragraphs of background.
And if it is praise, use the name. “The tall guy at the register” cannot be put on a wall.
Frequently asked questions
What is McAlister’s Deli’s complaint email address?
There isn’t one. McAlister’s does not publish a guest complaint email. The Contact Us form and the Guest Relations line on 888-330-4313 are the only two routes the brand offers, and any email address you find on a third-party page was guessed.
Can I win a $100 gift card from the McAlister’s survey?
No. Several survey blogs claim a $100 sweepstakes, and none of them link to rules, an entry period or a sponsor address, which every real US sweepstakes is required to publish. There is no survey to enter anyway.
Is the McAlister’s feedback form available in Spanish?
The retired survey opened in English or Spanish. The current Contact Us form has no language switch, so it is English only right now. Spanish-speaking guests are left with the Atlanta phone line during business hours, which is a real step backwards.
When is McAlister’s Free Tea Day?
McAlister’s has run a free tea day in July in past years, usually one day, announced on the brand’s social accounts a week or two ahead. The date moves, so there is nothing to mark on a calendar in advance.
Does McAlister’s still use InMoment for guest feedback?
No. Both the retired survey page and the current Contact Us form are served from survey3.medallia.com and carry a “Powered by Medallia” footer with a Medallia privacy policy link.
How long does McAlister’s Guest Relations take to reply?
McAlister’s does not publish a turnaround time. The page says only that they will get back to you as soon as they can. Given the Monday-to-Friday hours, silence over a weekend is not a snub.
Can I still get something back after a bad meal?
You can ask, through the “Order or Restaurant Experience Complaint” option. Whether anything is offered is up to the restaurant, and there is no published compensation policy. Give the location, the date and the order number, since a complaint without those is hard to route.
Is the Tea Pass part of McAlister’s Rewards?
No, it is a separate paid subscription, but only Rewards members can buy one. It covers one eligible beverage a day and has its own cancellation and refund terms.
How we checked this page
Every fact above was read off the live pages on 10 September 2026, not copied from another guide. talktomcalisters.com, tellmcalisters.com, moetalks.com, talktoschlotzskys.com and cinnabonfeedback.com were each opened in a desktop browser. The rewards tiers, the phone number, the Atlanta address and the Guest Relations hours were read from mcalistersdeli.com and the Medallia forms it links to.
Primary sources: McAlister’s own FAQ page, the McAlister’s Rewards page and McAlister’s Contact Us page.
Survey Guide is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by McAlister’s Deli or GoTo Foods. If something on your receipt or in your app looks different from what is written here, tell us and we will re-check it.
