WalgreensListens is the customer feedback survey Walgreens prints at the bottom of its in-store receipts. It runs on Medallia’s survey platform, it takes about five minutes, and finishing it gives US residents the chance to enter a monthly sweepstakes for one $500 Walgreens gift card. Not $3,000. That number is years out of date and roughly half of page one still prints it.
You need two things off the receipt, a SURVEY # and a PASSWORD. You also need to move quickly, because the rules give you 72 hours from the invitation.
This page covers where those two numbers sit, what to type when the site rejects them, the separate deal Puerto Rico residents get, and the official winners list that almost nobody links to.

What the WalgreensListens survey is
It’s a short customer satisfaction questionnaire that Walgreens uses to score individual stores. The survey invitation prints on the receipt after an in-store purchase. You type the two codes, answer maybe fifteen questions about the visit, and at the end you’re offered the sweepstakes entry.
The survey itself is not built by Walgreens. The footer of walgreenslistens.com says “Powered by Medallia,” and the support and privacy links point at medallia.com. Medallia is an experience-management company that runs feedback programs for a long list of retailers. That matters for one practical reason. When the survey page breaks, Walgreens store staff genuinely cannot fix it, and neither can the 1-800 line. The problem sits with the platform.
The sweepstakes attached to it is a separate thing again, administered by Arrowhead Promotion & Fulfillment Co. in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. So three companies touch one receipt. Walgreens sponsors it and Medallia hosts it, while Arrowhead does the draw and mails the prize.
The only official site, and the copycats crowding it
The survey lives at walgreenslistens.com. There is no second official address, no regional mirror, no “.net” version.
Search the brand name and a wall of near-misses comes back. walgreenslistens.it.com, walgreens-listens.com, walgreenslistens.site, wolgreenslistenscom.one, iwalgreenslistenss.cfd. Cheap top-level domains, chosen because they look close enough to the real thing at a glance. Most of them are guide pages carrying ads, which is legal enough. The problem is that they’re also carrying prize figures that expired years ago, and a few present themselves with a big red “START SURVEY” button as though you were already on the Walgreens site.
Here’s the quick way to check you’re in the right place. The real page has a Walgreens script logo top-left, a language dropdown offering English and Spanish, three input areas, and a footer that reads “Powered by Medallia.” If any page asks you for an email address, a phone number, or a credit card before showing you the survey, close it.
There is no WalgreensListens sign-up, login, or account
No registration. No username. No account. No password reset link, because there is no password to reset.
This is the single most searched thing about WalgreensListens, and it’s based on a misunderstanding that Walgreens created themselves. The receipt prints a field labelled PASSWORD. People read that word, assume it belongs to an account, and go looking for a login page that has never existed.
The PASSWORD on a Walgreens receipt is the second half of a one-time key. It pairs with the SURVEY # directly above it. Both are unique to that single receipt, both stop working after you submit, and neither is connected to your myWalgreens account, your walgreens.com login, or your pharmacy profile. If you have never shopped at Walgreens before, you can still complete the survey, provided you have a receipt with the codes on it.
| What you’re thinking of | What it actually is | Used where |
|---|---|---|
| WalgreensListens “password” | An 11-digit code printed on one receipt | walgreenslistens.com only |
| myWalgreens password | Your loyalty account credential | walgreens.com and the Walgreens app |
| SURVEY # | The other half of the same one-time key | walgreenslistens.com only |
| Invoice / transaction number | Store bookkeeping reference on the receipt | Returns and customer service, not the survey |
| Balance Rewards number | Retired loyalty ID, replaced by myWalgreens in 2020 | Nowhere current |
Where the SURVEY # and PASSWORD print on your receipt
Both sit at the bottom of the receipt, stacked, under their own labels. The SURVEY # comes first, the PASSWORD directly beneath it. Each one is 11 digits broken into three groups of four, four, then three.
So the shape you’re looking for is 0000-0000-000, twice. They are digits only. No letters, no leading “W”, whatever a few guide sites claim.
What to do when there are no codes on the receipt
Not every Walgreens receipt carries an invitation. Pharmacy-only pickups, photo-counter collections and some self-checkout slips often print without one, and receipts from walgreens.com orders never have one because the survey is about physical stores. If the bottom of your receipt shows nothing under a SURVEY# heading, that transaction wasn’t selected, and there’s no way to request one after the fact.
The mail-in route further down this page is the workaround, and it works without any purchase at all.
Taking the survey, step by step
- Open walgreenslistens.com in any browser. Phone is fine; the page is responsive.
- Pick your language from the dropdown at the top right. English and Spanish are both offered.
- Type the SURVEY # into the first box. Digits only, no dashes needed.
- Type the PASSWORD into the second box.
- Choose your time of visit from the dropdown. It gives five brackets, running 12am to 7am, 7am to 11am, 11am to 4pm, 4pm to 7pm, and 7pm to 12am. Read the time off the transaction line near the top of your receipt.
- Check every reason that applies to the visit. The five options are the pharmacy, beauty and personal care, health and wellness products, photo, and everything else.
- Press Next and work through the questions.
- At the end, accept the sweepstakes entry and fill in your contact details so Arrowhead can reach you if your entry is drawn.
Work out your 72-hour deadline
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and this does not enter you in anything.
What the survey actually asks you
The opening screen sets the context by asking which departments you used and roughly when. After that the questions are the usual satisfaction battery. Most are scored on a scale; only one box lets you write.
Expect to rate how easy the store was to move around, whether staff were available and polite, whether shelves were stocked, how long the checkout took, and how clean the place was. If you ticked the pharmacy box, you get an extra block about wait time, pharmacist availability and whether your prescription was ready when promised. There’s a free-text box near the end, and that box is the only part of the survey where a specific complaint can actually be described.
One honest caveat about that free-text field. It feeds a store scorecard, not a case queue. Nobody calls you back. If you want a resolution, the survey is the wrong channel. Use the contact routes further down.
The prize is one $500 gift card, not $3,000
Walgreens’ own sweepstakes rules PDF is unambiguous. The prize is “One digital $500 Walgreens Gift Card,” awarded to one winner per monthly sweepstakes period, with no substitutions.
The $3,000 figure comes from an older version of this promotion. Walgreens changed it, the guide sites never updated, and the number has been copy-pasted between them ever since. As of September 2026, pages still repeating it include several of the top-ranking results for the brand name. One of them prints $500 in the body and $3,000 in its own FAQ, which tells you how little anyone checked.
Here’s my flat opinion. If you’re doing this for the money, don’t. One prize a month against a national entrant pool, and you only get one entry. The realistic value of five minutes here is close to zero. Do it because a store was genuinely good or genuinely bad and you want that on record, and treat the draw as a rounding error.

Puerto Rico gets a $1 coupon instead of a sweepstakes entry
This is stated on the front page of the survey and almost never mentioned anywhere else. Residents of Puerto Rico are not entered into the sweepstakes. They receive a coupon code for $1 off their next purchase of $5 or more.
The trade is a guaranteed dollar against a lottery ticket. Age 18 or over applies to both paths. If you’re in Puerto Rico, write the coupon code down before you close the tab, because the completion screen is where it appears.
Who can enter, and the rule that catches people out
- Legal residents of the 50 US states and the District of Columbia.
- 18 or older, except in Alabama and Nebraska, where the minimum is 19.
- Puerto Rico residents, 18 or older, on the coupon path described above.
- Walgreens employees and people living in their households are excluded.
The rule that trips people up is the entry limit. It’s one entry per person for the entire sweepstakes period, so keeping a stack of receipts and firing off six surveys in a week will not give you six chances. Extra entries get disqualified, not counted.
Entering by phone or by post when you have no receipt
Two routes exist, and both are free.
The phone survey
Call 1-855-855-5905 and complete the survey over the line. Same survey, same sweepstakes entry.
The mail-in entry, which needs no purchase
Hand-print your name, age, full address, daytime phone and evening phone on a 3 by 5 inch piece of paper and post it to this address.
Dept. S9895
P.O. Box 4006
Grand Rapids, MN 55731-4006
It has to be hand-printed, which rules out a printed label or a typed sheet. The entry must be postmarked inside the sweepstakes month. This is the legally required free-entry method that makes the whole thing a sweepstakes and not a lottery, and it carries exactly the same weight in the draw as an online entry.
There is no WalgreensListens app
None. Not on the App Store, not on Google Play, not as an APK.
The survey is a mobile-friendly web page and that’s the whole of it. The Walgreens retail app exists and is genuine, but it handles prescriptions and myWalgreens offers. The receipt survey isn’t in it.
So if you find something in an app store calling itself “WalgreensListens Survey” or “Walgreens Listens Rewards,” treat it as hostile. Those listings tend to be ad wrappers at best, and credential harvesters at worst. Walgreens has never shipped one.
Survey code not working? Work down this list
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Code rejected as invalid | Digits misread off thermal paper | Check 0 against 8, 1 against 7, 5 against 6. Thermal ink smudges fastest on those. |
| Code rejected, digits definitely right | The 72-hour window has closed | Nothing recovers it. Use the mail-in route for this month’s draw. |
| “This survey has already been completed” | Someone used the receipt already, or you double-submitted | Each code is single-use. A shared household receipt is the usual explanation. |
| No SURVEY# on the receipt at all | That transaction wasn’t selected | Pharmacy-only, photo-only and online orders frequently print without one. |
| Page won’t load or spins forever | Medallia-side outage, or an extension blocking scripts | Try a different browser and disable ad-blockers for the page. Store staff can’t help with this. |
| Survey drops you halfway | Session timed out | Start again with the same code; incomplete attempts don’t burn it. |
| Can’t submit the last screen | A required contact field is empty | The sweepstakes entry needs a real name, address and phone for the administrator. |
If none of that clears it, the escalation path is Medallia’s survey support, not Walgreens. I’ll say plainly that response times there are unpredictable and I wouldn’t hold a receipt waiting on a reply, given the 72-hour clock.
Is WalgreensListens legitimate?
Yes. The survey is real, the sweepstakes is registered, and the prizes are paid.
The evidence is all first-party and public. Walgreens hosts the sweepstakes rules as a PDF on walgreens.com. It hosts a winners list as a second PDF on the same domain. The survey runs on Medallia infrastructure with Medallia’s privacy policy attached. Arrowhead Promotion & Fulfillment is named as administrator, with a real postal address in Minnesota.
What isn’t legitimate is most of what surrounds it. The brand name attracts a heavy crowd of lookalike domains, and a separate crowd of scammers who use the words “Walgreens survey” in texts and emails. That distinction is worth holding onto. The survey is genuine, and the thing in your messages claiming you won it probably isn’t.
How to spot a fake Walgreens survey text or email
Walgreens is direct about this on its own fraud page. A real survey invitation reaches you one of two ways. It is printed at the bottom of an in-store receipt, or emailed from Walgreens@eml.walgreens.com. Anything else is fake.
Walgreens also states that it does not run unsolicited prize promotions and does not email customers out of the blue about rewards. So a message telling you that you’ve won a Walgreens gift card, when you never entered anything, is a scam regardless of how good the logo looks.
The tells are ordinary. A sender domain that isn’t walgreens.com, eml.walgreens.com, ecs.walgreens.com, rxorder.walgreens.com or e.walgreens.com. A demand for a card number to “cover shipping” on a free prize. Spelling that’s slightly off. Urgency about a deadline you’ve never heard of.
To report one, forward it to report-fraud@walgreens.com, and file with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. For gift-card scams specifically, Walgreens gives 1-877-865-9130.
Where the official Walgreens survey winners list is
There is an official winners list, and it’s a PDF on walgreens.com. The link sits in the footer of the survey page itself, which is why hardly anyone finds it.
It’s headed “Receipt Survey Sweepstakes Official Winner’s List by Sweepstakes” and it carries a rolling six months of draws. Each winner appears as a first name and last initial with a city and state, like “Scott P.” in a named town. Every line shows the same prize of a $500 gift card, one per month.
Open the official winners list PDF
Two things follow from that. First, there are no “winners today.” The draw happens once a month, around the 15th of the month after the entry period. Any site posting a daily or live winners feed is inventing it. Second, the PDF lags. When I checked on 12 September 2026 the most recent month listed was June 2026, so the gap is running at about two to three months. I couldn’t find a stated refresh schedule anywhere, so I can’t tell you exactly when a given month appears.
You can also request the list by post, which is the method written into the rules. Send a written request to Winner’s List, [month and year] Customer Satisfaction Sweepstakes, Dept. S9895, P.O. Box 4006, Grand Rapids, MN 55731-4006.
When you need a human, not a survey
The survey is a scorecard. It won’t get a refund issued or a prescription error corrected. Those need a different door.
Phone numbers, and what each one is for
| Number | Use it for |
|---|---|
| 1-800-925-4733 (1-800-WALGREENS) | Stores, general customer relations |
| 1-877-250-5823 | Walgreens.com orders, account and website problems |
| 1-847-914-2500 | Corporate switchboard |
| 1-855-855-5905 | The telephone version of this survey |
| 1-877-865-9130 | Gift-card scam reports |
Live chat runs 7am to 1am Eastern, so it isn’t 24/7
Walgreens’ help pages give the chat window as 7 A.M. to 1 A.M. EST. That’s an eighteen-hour day, which is generous, but it is not round-the-clock and searching for 24/7 Walgreens support will not turn one up. If the chat button doesn’t appear inside those hours, agents are at capacity; the advice on the page is to wait and refresh.
There’s no public customer service email address
Walgreens routes written contact through categorized web forms at walgreens.com/mktg/contactus instead of publishing an inbox. The forms are split by department, covering website and account issues, pharmacy and health services, photo, products, gift cards, myWalgreens, privacy, and store facilities. Picking the right category is what decides how fast anything moves.
The only published email addresses are for fraud (report-fraud@walgreens.com) and for accessibility requests. Any other “Walgreens customer service email” you find on a third-party site is a guess.
Complaining about a pharmacist or a pharmacy
This one deserves its own ladder, because it’s the complaint people most often give up on.
- Ask for the store manager, and separately the pharmacy manager. They are different people and the pharmacy manager owns clinical conduct.
- If that goes nowhere, call 1-800-925-4733 and ask for the complaint to be logged against the store number printed at the top of your receipt. Quote that number; it’s how the case gets attached to a location.
- Put it in writing through the pharmacy category of the contact form, or by post to Consumer Relations, Walgreen Co., 108 Wilmot Rd, MS #2002, Deerfield, IL 60015.
- For anything involving a dispensing error, refusal to fill, a privacy breach, or professional conduct, go to your state board of pharmacy. That board licenses the pharmacist personally, and it investigates independently of Walgreens. Every state runs its own complaint form; the NABP directory of state boards is the fastest way to find yours.
Step four is the one with actual teeth, and it’s the one no corporate phone line will mention to you.
Where to post a letter that gets filed
Walgreen Co., 108 Wilmot Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015. Consumer Relations sits at mail stop #2002 at that address, and naming the mail stop is what keeps a letter out of the general pile.
Questions people ask
How do I do a Walgreens survey?
Go to walgreenslistens.com, enter the SURVEY # and PASSWORD from the bottom of an in-store receipt, pick your time of visit, and answer the questions. Budget five minutes and do it within 72 hours of the purchase.
How can I send feedback to Walgreens without a receipt code?
Use the contact forms at walgreens.com/mktg/contactus, or call 1-800-925-4733. The receipt survey only accepts a valid code, so without one the forms are the working route. For a sweepstakes entry with no purchase, use the mail-in method.
Is the Walgreens survey free?
Yes. No purchase is required to enter the sweepstakes, because the 3×5 postcard method exists precisely so that no purchase is necessary. The online survey costs nothing beyond your data.
What is the Walgreens survey number?
Two different things go by that name. The SURVEY # is the 11-digit code printed on your receipt in a 4-4-3 pattern. The Walgreens survey phone number, for taking the survey by voice, is 1-855-855-5905.
How long do I have to complete it?
72 hours from receiving the invitation, per the official rules. There’s no extension and no way to reissue an expired code.
Can I enter more than once?
No. One entry per person for the whole sweepstakes period, regardless of how many receipts you’ve collected.
Does Walgreens actually read the comments?
The scores feed store-level reporting that district managers see. The free-text comments get read in aggregate, and nobody replies to them. Treat the box as evidence for a pattern, not as a support ticket.
Is the survey available in Spanish?
Yes. The language dropdown at the top of walgreenslistens.com offers English and Spanish.
When are winners notified?
The draw is held on or about the 15th of the month after the entry period, and the administrator contacts the winner using the details submitted with the entry. Names later appear on the official winners list PDF, currently running two to three months behind.
Who runs the survey, Walgreens or someone else?
Walgreen Co. sponsors it. Medallia hosts and operates the survey platform. Arrowhead Promotion & Fulfillment Co. administers the sweepstakes and handles the draw and the winners list.
Other receipt surveys worth your five minutes
If you’re working through a stack of receipts, the CVS Health Survey and its 17-digit survey ID is the closest comparison, since both are pharmacy chains running the same play. For grocery, Kroger’s feedback survey and the Walmart customer survey both pay out differently. On the restaurant side there’s MyBKExperience and the KFC satisfaction survey. Thrift stores run a tighter version of the same idea: the Value Village Listens survey gives you seven days to enter the code instead of Walgreens’ longer window.
